McGeady off the mark in Moscow

AIDEN McGEADY is already settling down in Russia as he hit his first goal for Spartak Moscow last night.

The Ireland winger grabbed the equaliser for Spartak with 13 minutes to go in their 2-2 draw against Amkar Perm in the Premier Liga.

The result moved Spartak up to fifth and into a Europa League position after an indifferent start to the season, but former Celtic winger McGeady now appears to be starting to find his feet in Russia, having also started in Spartak’s recent Champions League win over Marseille.

Spartak host Zilina in Champions League Group F next Tuesday.
