IRELAND’S women’s Under-17 side had their homework done ahead of their historic 3-0 victory over Ghana which has put them into the quarter-finals of the World Cup.

Goalscorer Megan Campbell explained the plan had been to test the Ghanaian keeper from long range.

“The keeper was short and we were under instructions to shoot from anywhere,” Campbell said after her latest dead-ball exploits.
