IRELAND manager Giovanni Trapattoni left hospital last night and declared himself fit and ready to mastermind Ireland’s Euro 2012 double header against Armenia and Andorra next month.

Ireland face Armenia in Yerevan on September 3 before taking on Andorra in the Aviva Stadium on September 7. Assistant manager Marco Tardelli will name the squad for the opening qualifying matches on Friday but Trapattoni says he will be back calling the shots come matchday, after getting a clean bill of health following an operation.

“Armenia is only four or five hours flight. I can start my job immediately, no problem.” he said.
