No slip ups as Dundalk book ticket to Bulgaria

DUNDALK are heading for Bulgaria next Thursday after seeing off CS Grevenmacher at Oriel Park last night to book a Europa League second qualifying round tie against Levski Sofia.

Despite blowing a two-goal lead in the first leg before rescuing a 3-3 draw, Ian Foster’s side did not let an advantage slip against the Luxembourg outfit for a second week running.

In fact, the tie was as good as over as a contest inside the opening 16 minutes, when the Lilywhites – playing their first European tie at Oriel Park since the visit of Kispest Honved in 1991 – raced into a two-goal lead.
