Coyle hoping to persuade Cahill to stay

PREMIER LEAGUE: Bolton manager Owen Coyle will sit down with defender Gary Cahill before the summer break and outline his vision for the future.

Coyle hoping to persuade Cahill to stay

The Wanderers boss hopes to keep hold of a player he described as his ā€œprized assetā€, despite speculation linking the centre-back with a big-money move in the close season. Coyle will speak to the 24-year-old, as he will other members of his squad, to spell out exactly where he sees their – and the club’s – future.

The Scot hopes it will be enough to persuade Cahill not to start thinking about a move away.
