Ireland power past Poland

Striker Ronan Murray was denied by a superb save from Polish ‘keeper Kurto on 18 minutes but the stopper was helpless to prevent his own defender Piotr Malarczyk from hooking the ball over his head and into the net for the opener three minutes before half-time.

Ireland added two more goals in the space of three second half minutes as firstly Murray crossed for Aaron Doran to tap in 64 minutes before the provider volleyed home Ryan Brennan’s inviting left-wing delivery.
