Rafa’s Allardyce feud flares again

NO wonder Anfield was subdued.

Manchester United’s third League Cup success in five seasons means that Liverpool’s bitter rivals have now won six trophies since Rafa Benitez last brought silverware to Anfield.

And despite overcoming a physical battle with Blackburn to keep alive their hopes of finishing in the top four, Liverpool appear years away from reviving the glory days that they enjoyed under Kenny Dalglish, Bob Paisley and Bill Shankly.
