Tevez lets fly at ‘moron’ Neville

MANCHESTER City striker Carlos Tevez last night launched an astonishing outburst against Gary Neville, labelling his former Manchester United team-mate a “boot licking moron”, an “idiot”, a “sycophant’’ and a “suck-up’’ following their confrontation in Tuesday’s Carling Cup semi-final first leg.

The striker, who scored both goals in City’s 2-1 win over United described his side’s victory as “revenge” and insisted his provocative goal celebration was directed at Neville and not Alex Ferguson or the United fans.

Before the game, the United right-back had claimed Tevez was “not worth” the £25 million (€28.7m) it would have cost United to keep him in the summer.
