City players told wages will be paid ‘prior to Christmas’

CORK CITY have said that they will pay outstanding wages before Christmas, having missed Monday’s deadline for payments owed to current and former players.

The amount owed to the players is understood to be €150,000.

According to a statement issued by the club last night: “Cork City FC will complete wage payments to all staff in the coming days and, in consultation with the relevant persons involved, will have all persons settled to mutual satisfaction prior to Christmas.”
