Hodgson hails in-form Zamora as Fulham adventure continues

ROY HODGSON hailed Bobby Zamora’s match-winning performance after Fulham booked their place in the knockout stages of the Europa League with a 3-2 win at Basle last night.

Zamora, pinpointed last week by Hodgson as just the kind of player England will need at the World Cup, struck twice just before the interval and ran the Basle defence ragged.

The much-maligned striker has now scored four in his last three games and nine this season to answer his critics.
