Irish boss voices Reid concern

REPUBLIC of Ireland manager Giovanni Trapattoni last night revealed he fears for Steven Reid’s future. The Blackburn midfielder missed almost all of last season with a cruciate knee ligament injury and sustained a hamstring injury in his comeback game against Gillingham in August.

Reid was called up for Ireland’s squad for last Saturday’s clash with Italy before his injury jinx struck again.

And last night Trapattoni admitted he fears for the 28-year-old’s career.
