Dunphy’s ‘a skinny little rat’

STEPHEN HUNT has never been one to hold his tongue when he has something to get off his chest and Eamon Dunphy and FIFA were the ones caught in the crossfire last night.

The controversial RTÉ pundit had described Ireland’s performance in the 2-2 draw against Italy last Saturday as ‘shameful’ and Hunt’s reaction to that was to label Dunphy “a skinny little rat”.

The comment was delivered unprompted and in reply to an innocent question about the upcoming play-offs and whether or not this Irish team is more suited to getting positive results away from Croke Park.
