Quinn keen to secure Dunne deal

NIALL QUINN has given the clearest indication yet that Richard Dunne will be a Sunderland player by the time the new Premier League season kicks off next month.

Dunne’s departure from Manchester City has yet to be confirmed but Mark Hughes is in the process of rebuilding his first-team squad and the Irish international is coveted by a number of leading English clubs.

One report yesterday went as far as to state that Dunne was all set to sign on the dotted line with the Black Cats and Quinn has admitted that he would love to see the Tallaght man wear the red and white stripes.
