The new Ipswich Town boss has reportedly made inquiries about the Irish international while QPR are said to be prepared to let him go for around €600,000.

After making a good impression following his arrival on a year and half year deal from Hull City in January 2008, the former Cork City man has lately slipped down the pecking order at Loftus Road. Fellow Championship side Ipswich are known to be keen to bolster their meagre options at full-back, with Ben Thatcher the only left-sided player in that position at the club now that Dan Harding, Matt Richards and Kurt Robinson have all been released.
