Red for danger

PERHAPS it’s an age thing. I’ve come to hate the winter months, January in particular, though February is even worse. There’s a cold, dank, dismal atmosphere that’s hung over everything the last few weeks that not even the FA Cup and a trip to Seville managed to lift.

But redemption is near at hand. By this time next week, we’ll have had the first domestic cup final and, before that, there’s the resumption of the Champions League.

Yes, I’m beginning to feel better already.
