Reid says Sbragia hasn’t changed

SUNDERLAND midfielder Andy Reid has revealed Ricky Sbragia has not lost the personal touch since being appointed manager.

The 52-year-old Scot faced the difficult task of creating some distance between himself and the players after initially being asked to step up from coach to caretaker boss, and then to the job on a permanent basis.

Sbragia himself admits he will have to change in some respects, but Reid is delighted that has not extended to the point where he has become less approachable, perhaps in contrast to the atmosphere at the Stadium of Light during the latter days of predecessor Roy Keane’s reign.
