SCOTTISH FA chief executive Gordon Smith hopes Kris Boyd will have a change of heart about his decision to quit Scotland.

The Rangers striker, 25, confirmed on Saturday night he no longer wishes to be considered for selection for the national team while George Burley is manager.

Boyd has become increasingly frustrated by his lack of involvement since Burley’s appointment as manager in January, playing just 28 minutes of six games so far.
