Ferguson would settle for title or Euro glory

MANCHESTER UNITED boss Alex Ferguson would gladly accept Premier League or Champions League glory this season if it was offered to him right now.

United won the biggest two prizes available last term and the £30.75million (€38.8m) arrival of Dimitar Berbatov from Tottenham has only fuelled belief the major trophies will once again be heading for Old Trafford at the season’s end.

But Ferguson is not so demanding. The Scot has enough confidence in his squad to feel the extra domestic league title required to draw level with the record tally of 18 achieved by today’s opponents Liverpool is a mere formality at some stage in the near future.
