Louis Saha will join on a two-year contract from Manchester United pending a medical, Lars Christian Jacobsen has been recruited after being released by German club Nurnberg and Segundo Castillo has also signed on a season-long loan deal from Red Star Belgrade.

Moyes also confirmed that Everton are expecting to tie up another loan deal for Inter Milan’s Victor Obinna Nsofor before Monday’s transfer deadline. Yet despite these positive developments, he still does not believe Everton possess the financial muscle or the squad depth to compete with the ‘Big Four’ — Liverpool, Chelsea, Manchester United and Arsenal.
