Richards a worry for City slickers

MANCHESTER CITY manager Mark Hughes praised the medical staff who attended to Micah Richards after he was injured in an aerial collision with teammate Tal Ben Haim during yesterday’s 3-0 over West Ham at Eastlands.

Richards was treated on the pitch a minute into the second half for eight minutes and then regained consciousness in the tunnel before being taken to Manchester Royal Infirmary for further checks.

The injury to the England defender tempered the feeling of elation around the ground following the victory against the Hammers.
