SUNDERLAND target Kevin Doyle has reiterated his desire to stay at relegated Reading despite talk of a move to the Black Cats increasing over recent days.

Roy Keane’s side will play Cobh Ramblers at Doyle’s old stomping ground, Turner’s Cross, on Monday evening but he will have a battle on his hands if he is to secure the Wexford man’s signature.

Reading’s loss of their Premier League place was a big blow to the 24-year-old striker but he says he’s ready to help the Royals’ fight for promotion back to the top flight.
