Souness linked with Scotland vacancy
Souness has admitted he would welcome the chance to manage at international level and the 54-year-old former Newcastle, Liverpool and Rangers boss could feature on the Scottish Football Association’s short-list as they look to replace Alex McLeish, who became Birmingham City manager this week.
The SFA board met yesterday lunchtime to discuss possible candidates for the Scotland job. Souness, who was highly successful as Rangers manager, also has European experience from his stints with Galatasaray, Torino and Benfica.
