Toshack: players don’t fear Germans

WALES boss John Toshack insists he is more frightened of facing Germany than his teenage stars are.

Toshack’s teens step from an encouraging Euro 2008 qualifying draw with the Republic of Ireland straight into a daunting collision with the might of Germany in Frankfurt on Wednesday, their final Group D match of a roller-coaster qualification campaign.

However, he had plenty to be happy about after seeing his defiant side, who finished with six under-21s on the pitch against a side full of battle-hardened Premier League stars, grab a deserved point.
