Super Yakubu steals the show

DAVID MOYES hailed €18million striker Ayegbeni Yakubu as his razor-sharp display sent Derby spinning to another defeat.

The Nigerian returned to form with a brilliant dummy to set up Mikel Arteta’s first-half opener then coolly slotted away the decisive second with 62 minutes on the clock.

The goal was only Yakubu’s second Premier League strike since his big-money move from Middlesbrough but manager Moyes insists there is so much more to his play. He said: “What we all know is when he gets through on goal he doesn’t miss and all we want him to do is score the goals he got for Portsmouth and Middlesbrough.
