Super-sub Stelios wins it for Bolton

BOLTON substitute Stelios Giannakopoulos came off the bench to score the goal which won this Carling Cup third-round tie for Bolton.

The Greek ace netted with eight minutes left, driving beyond goalkeeper Kasey Keller to give Sammy Lee’s side only their second win of the season.

Earlier, on-loan Bolton debutant Danny Guthrie stunned Fulham with a 57th-minute strike, only for Cottagers substitute David Healy to send the game into extra-time with a 78th-minute effort.
