Jenas jolts under-achievers Arsenal

AT the end of his most trying week in over 10 years in English football, the last thing Arsene Wenger needed was to be told Arsenal now fall into the category of rank under-achievers.

But Martin Jol, the Tottenham manager who delivered this most painful of home truths, has suffered too much at the hands of his arch-rival and close neighbour to resist twisting the knife.

“Arsenal would like to achieve more,” he said. “They have 60,000 at every home match and they will be disappointed with being only fourth in the league. They are still a bit better than us, because they are fourth and we are not, but I’m sure next season, with all the talent they have, they should be looking higher.”
