Eyes wide open for first asterisk of the season

THE eircom League season is now up and running and full of good intentions.

But, after last year’s chaos off the pitch, some are clearly not convinced that the new-look league will run smoothly.

Hence, Ladbrokes are offering odds on which team will be the first to have the dreaded asterisk attached to their name for misdemeanours ranging from fielding ineligible players to financial irregularities.
