THE Republic of Ireland will play Denmark in a friendly game in Aarhus on August 22, the FAI have announced.

Welcoming the fixture, Irish manager Steve Staunton said: “The Denmark game is at the start of the new season so it is a good opportunity to get the lads together ahead of the remaining qualifiers.”

After the Danish game, Ireland’s next competitive matches will be the back to back Euro 2008 qualifiers in Slovakia and the Czech Republic in September.
