Taylor keen to make amends for Villa

ASTON VILLA goalkeeper Stuart Taylor will be better prepared than for his last meeting with Manchester City when he makes a rare first-team start in tonight’s home Barclays Premiership clash.

Taylor will be between the posts for only the third time during the current campaign after number one Thomas Sorensen suffered knee ligament damage during the weekend draw with Middlesbrough at Villa Park.

The former Arsenal player made his Villa debut in a 3-1 reversal by Stuart Pearce’s side at Eastlands 13 months ago after Sorensen was injured in the warm-up and, by his own admission, he had a night to forget.
