Lost in translation

THE quote of the week award goes to Thierry Henry’s response to criticism of the misfiring Gunners:

“The fans have the right to speak. I keep on hearing them shout ‘shoot’. I don’t know what they’re trying to say or do. But I think they’re getting sucked in by what some people are saying”.

Now, I wouldn’t claim to be fluent in Goonerese, Thierry, but I have hunch that when the fans shout “shoot”, they might just mean, well, “shoot”. And, you know what? It’s so crazy it might just work.
