Eriksson ‘very close’ to taking next job

SVEN-GORAN ERIKSSON is “very close” to lining up his next job, but it will not be at West Ham his agent Athole Still said.

Eriksson has been out of work since stepping down as England manager after the World Cup finals in Germany.

Since then the Swede has been linked with a number of jobs but Still suggested he may return to management early in 2007, although not in Britain.
