Leeds close in on Wise and Poyet

LEEDS have moved closer to bringing Dennis Wise and Gus Poyet to Elland Road after agreeing financial compensation with Swindon for the pair and also parting company with caretaker boss John Carver.

The Elland Road club have been granted permission to discuss personal terms with Wise and Poyet aimed at bringing the management duo to the club, while Swindon have appointed David Tuttle as caretaker boss.

David Geddis is expected to take charge of Leeds’ Carling Cup tie against Southend tonight.
