Robben is staying at Chelsea, Kenyon tells Real

CHELSEA chief executive Peter Kenyon insists Real Madrid have still not made a formal approach for Arjen Robben and reiterated that the Dutch winger is staying at Stamford Bridge.

Robben is staying at Chelsea, Kenyon tells Real

Real president Ramon Calderon promised to take Robben to the Bernabeu as part of his election campaign and recently repeated his determination to recruit the 22-year-old.

Calderon claimed to have spoken to Robben, infuriating Chelsea who condemned what they see as an illegal approach.

Kenyon has asked FIFA to investigate the matter and yesterday issued Real with another hands-off warning.

“There has been no formal approach and if there was, it would be completely rebuffed,” he said.

“Arjen has said he’s staying at Chelsea and Chelsea’s position has been made very clear. There’s a process in place and we will follow that process.”
