AS Cork City attempt to advance to the next round of the UEFA Champions League tonight, clutching a one-goal advantage from the first leg against Apollon Limassol, captain Dan Murray says their defence holds the key to success.

“If no-one can get past our back five I think we’ve got a great chance of scoring goals with everyone else who’s playing in front of us,” the centre-half said yesterday.

While manager Damien Richardson promised his side would not just defend, Murray, speaking alongside his coach and defensive partner, Alan Bennett, explained the importance of the back five.
