Ricksen seeks clinical help for problems

FERNANDO RICKSEN has sought help from the Sporting Chance Clinic after being sent home from Rangers’ pre-season tour of South Africa.

The Dutchman, 30 later this month, was ordered to return to Glasgow by new manager Paul Le Guen following a breach of discipline on the team flight to Johannesburg.

Ricksen later confessed to an altercation with an air stewardess after drinking alcohol, and said he feared he had played his last game for Rangers.

The defender has now apologised to club officials and fans and he believes, with the guidance of staff at the London-based clinic, that he can overcome his problems.
