Keane to stay one of Bhoys

ROY KEANE has decided that he will play on at Celtic for at least one more season.

The midfielder this week telephoned Peter Lawwell to tell the Celtic chief executive that he would be honouring the remaining year of his contract.

His decision is understood to come on the back of medical advice which concluded that, although he may need a hip replacement by the age of 40, playing for another year will not further exacerbate the injury.

Keane is also understood to have been heartened by news that Celtic are still in the race to sign Jiri Jarosik.
