Dacourt agrees to join Inter

The 31 year-old Frenchman, who joined Roma from Leeds in 2003, will be available as a free agent.

The French midfielder, who failed to agree a new contract with the Eternal City outfit, claims he is moving to the San Siro because he needs a “new challenge”.

“I have a good relationship with the club (Roma) but sometimes you have to make personal choices and sacrifices,” he said .

Dacourt was clearly disappointed to have been overlooked by coach Raymond Domenech for a spot in France’s 23-man squad for the World Cup finals in Germany.
