Olsen in hospital after brain haemorrhage

A statement from Olsen’s company, Proactive Sports Management Australia, said he was admitted to hospital on Thursday last week after suffering a sub-arachnoid haemorrhage.

“He remains under observation and will undergo further tests. His family strongly request that their privacy be respected at this time,” the statement said.

Business partner John Grimaud said it was not known what caused Olsen, 45, to collapse. “It could happen to anyone,” said Grimaud, who added Olsen hadn’t had surgery.

Olsen came to Melbourne in 2003 with his wife and four children.
