Benitez focused on good run-in

RAFAEL BENITEZ insists he is focused on Liverpool ending the season in style rather than securing a new deal. Victory tonight against West Ham in a dress rehearsal of the FA Cup final will see his side close the gap on second-placed Manchester United to three points in the Premiership.

Although the games are running out, Benitez is anxious to retain that winning mentality. The semi-final victory against champions-elect Chelsea at the weekend increased the feelgood factor around Anfield and Benitez is content with his lot.

The Liverpool boss said: “I am happy here and want to win more trophies. I have three more years [on his contract]. To have four, five or six years is not a problem now. The most important thing at the moment is to focus on my job and my club.
