Rush quits Chester hot seat

FORMER Liverpool great Ian Rush has walked out as manager of struggling Chester City.

Rush quit after his assistant Mark Aizlewood had his contract terminated.

“Unfortunately, throughout my tenure, various events have gradually made it impossible for me to carry on,” Rush said. “The club’s decision to terminate the contract of Mark Aizlewood, without my consent was the final straw.”
