Birthday blues as Gunners spoil Ranieri’s party

CLAUDIO RANIERI says he is no less worried about losing his job now that it looks like Sven-Goran Eriksson will be tied up on England business until the end of next summer.

Yet, after his team's performance at Highbury in Saturday's 2-1 defeat by Arsenal, maybe the Chelsea manager should be.

Chelsea had never won at Highbury in the Premiership but Saturday presented them with a golden opportunity to break that duck and give Ranieri the perfect 52nd birthday present by climbing back to the top of the table.
