Beattie up for Old Firm double

Celtic starlet Craig Beattie has greeted being drawn against Rangers in the CIS Insurance Cup quarter-final with great enthusiasm.

Glasgow’s big two will meet in the competition on November 8 or 9 and then again in the SPL at Parkhead on November 19.

“It’s an interesting draw for us,” said 21-year-old Beattie, who scored both goals at Parkhead on Saturday as Celtic came from behind to beat Inverness Caledonian Thistle 2-1. “Two Old Firm games almost back to back is something to look forward to.
