Barthez is best keeper in the world, says Solskjaer

OLE Gunnar Solskjaer has hailed Fabien Barthez as ‘the best goalkeeper in the world’ after his brilliant display against Aston Villa on Saturday.

France’s World Cup winner produced a series of superb stops to help Manchester United record the 1-0 away win which has re-ignited their title charge.

Barthez, often criticised last year for his erratic form, is now back to his best and could prove a crucial figure in the eight-game run to the championship.
