France call up Luyindula as replacement for Trezeguet

Luyindula, 25, scored his only goal for France in his third international against Bosnia in August. France, without retired trio Zinedine Zidane, Lilian Thuram and Claude Makele, are third in Group Four but on the same number of points as Switzerland and Ireland.

Elsewhere, French Football Federation president Claude Simonet has said he does not intend to sack Domenech if the team fails to win its World Cup qualifiers against Ireland and Cyprus in the next seven days.
