United's tough stance with Chelsea over Kenyon move

MANCHESTER United are considering whether to report Chelsea to the Premier League for poaching Peter Kenyon.

The former United chief executive has been on gardening leave since he sensationally quit the Premiership champions to join the Stamford Bridge club.

The two clubs appeared to be close to an agreement that Kenyon could start in February, but United's attitude has hardened significantly in recent days. They are now insisting Kenyon serves the full 12 months of his notice period, and have discussed reporting Chelsea for breaching Premier League regulations.
