Victory sees Limerick make push for promotion
Former-Cork and Wimbledon striker O’Flynn brought his goals haul to 10 for the season when he broke the deadlock after 66 minutes with a brilliant header from Colm Heffernan’s cross.
Limerick wrapped up the points with a second goal from former team skipper Hughes four minutes from time, when he scored with a low drive after a quick counter-attacking move.
Limerick’s victory helps them close the gap on fourth-placed Kildare County, as Michael Kerley’s side make a late push for promotion.
For Cobh, who were without suspended player/manager Dave Hill and centre-half Darren Murphy, it was a sixth successive defeat. Ramblers last win was back on August 30, a 6-1 rout of Monaghan United.
