Boost for United as Rooney ready to spend decade as a red

WAYNE ROONEY has provided welcome news for Manchester United by declaring himself ready to spend the next 10 years at Old Trafford.

United’s goalless draw with Villarreal means the Old Trafford club cannot afford to lose and in all likelihood must beat Benfica in their final Champions League group game.

But Rooney is nevertheless focused on achieving long-term success with the club and, as the one of best young players in the world, is set to drive forward United’s bid for silverware for many years to come.
