Spurs sign €7.3m Puma kit deal

TOTTENHAM have signed a five-year kit deal with sportswear giants Puma which will net the club £5 million (€7.3m) per season.

Puma will supply Spurs’ kit from next season.

The deal, a commercial record for the Barclays Premiership club, could boost the spending power for head coach Martin Jol.

Jol has been active in the transfer market since taking charge last season, making high-profile signings such as Jermaine Jenas and Edgar Davids - while recouping money from selling Pedro Mendes, Sean Davis and Noe Pamarot to Portsmouth.

Money from Puma could see him strengthen the squad further, as would a favourable new shirt sponsorship agreement. South Korean company LG Electronics have been suggested as candidates to become the fourth shirt sponsor in the club’s history.
