Haim denies Rooney reaction FA charge

BOLTON defender Tal Ben Haim has denied a charge by the FA of improper conduct relating to his clash with Wayne Rooney last month.

The Israeli fell to the turf after Rooney shoved him in the face and was charged with improper conduct following the match against Manchester United on St Stephen’s Day.

He has denied the allegation and requested a personal hearing, to be scheduled in due course.

Meanwhile, Birmingham and Republic of Ireland striker Clinton Morrison has admitted a charge of improper conduct in the wake of an incident involving Bolton’s Nicky Hunt during a match at St Andrews on January 4.

He has also requested a personal hearing to discuss the incident, which saw him push Hunt over.
