Wenger furious at French

ARSENAL boss Arsene Wenger has labelled France’s friendly against Costa Rica on November 9 in Martinique as “absolutely scandalous.”

Wenger, who is keen for Gunners star Thierry Henry not to be overworked after just returning from injury, insists the timing and venue of the match makes no sense.

The match has been organised by the French Football Federation and national coach Raymond Domenech to pay tribute to victims of a plane crash on August 16 which killed 152 Martinique-born people, and as an extra World Cup warm-up match.
